We promote an employee- and member-centric culture with generous benefits, which you can learn more about here: Location: Remote; A Well hub preferred (Chapel Hill, NC; Minneapolis, MN; Boston, MA; New York, NY), but will consider other locations in the U.S. Compensation: This role can be hired for as a Senior Software Engineer 3 ($147,000-$165,000) depending on qualifications, plus bonus potential and benefits. Job Summary: You will be a primary contributor in the development of a world-class, highly-scalable iOS application for our engagement and behavior change platform. In this role you will collaborate with designers and software engineers to design, develop, release, and maintain Well’s iOS app in all phases of the development and application lifecycle. Ownership, self-motivation, teamwork, and experience working in a fast-paced environment are highly desired. Key Responsibilities: Consistently deliver new features and functionality aligned with design and product requirements in a rapid, high quality manner. Work with the design and product teams to evaluate designs, reduce complexity, and decrease time to market for enhancements and features. Take ownership of key components and functionality. Promote best practices to improve the quality and maintainability of Well’s iOS application. Be a key contributor and participant of the iOS development team in the software development lifecycle by participating in code reviews, quality assurance, and production monitoring duties. Coach and mentor junior developers. Preferred Qualifications: 7+ years of experience developing and supporting scalable iOS native applications in Swift (Objective-C experience preferred but not required). Experience in integrating third-party SDKs and APIs using Cocoapods and Swift Package Manager. Experience in consuming RESTful APIs and interfacing with backend services, including familiarity with JSON and Experience translating design mockups (in Zeplin, Figma, etc.) into production-quality functioning iOS app interfaces. Experience in both UIKit/Autolayout and SwiftUI for UI development. Experience in concurrency using GCD and async/await, and reactive programming with RxSwift and Combine. Experience developing within an MVVM-C architecture using Dependency Injection. Experience using agile methodologies to ensure rapid delivery of features in a secure and robust manner. Experience working with teams utilizing modern infrastructure, cloud, and information security systems and techniques. Deep knowledge of software development practices and principles including Clean Code, Design Patterns, Data Structures & Algorithms, Unit Testing and UI Testing, Memory Management, Debugging and Profiling, etc. Build distribution experience with tools such as Git, Fastlane, Bitrise, TestFlight, Firebase, Xcode cloud, App Store Connect, etc. Additional Job Information: Well is on a mission to redefine the healthcare experience.
