Fleetpro has over 40 years of industry leadership experience, and our Maintenance Organization is on the hunt for a dynamic, customer-focused Transit Bus Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead our fleet maintenance operations. What You'll Do:

  • Lead and Inspire: Oversee the daily operations of our fleet maintenance, including maintenance, repair, fueling, and washing of our 20 New Flyer Cummins ISL engine-powered transit buses.
  • Optimize Operations: Implement best-in-class maintenance techniques and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures to meet and exceed production, productivity, and service standards.
  • Manage Resources: Control inventory and financial performance by analyzing reports, managing purchases, and maintaining vendor accuracy.
  • Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with Dispatch to meet operational needs, coordinate with your team to schedule maintenance, and ensure high-quality preventive and corrective repairs.
  • Drive Excellence: Audit fueling and washing schedules, verify accurate timekeeping, and generate insightful reports from our Fleet Maintenance databases.
  • Develop Talent: Train, coach, and mentor your team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to excel, fostering a supportive and high-performing environment.
  • Maintain Safety: Uphold the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the facility, ensuring compliance with health regulations and security protocols.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 2-5 years of management experience in automotive or fleet maintenance within a transportation environment. Hands-on repair experience and familiarity with alternative fuels are a plus.
  • Certifications: CDL-B with Passenger Endorsement is required. ASE certifications are preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency with Fleet Maintenance Asset Management systems, and a solid understanding of TMC Recommended practices.
  • Leadership: A people-driven leadership style with a focus on quality training, clear communication, and strong organizational skills.
  • Financial Acumen: Ability to analyze financial data, manage inventory, and drive cost controls effectively.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring full mobility.
