Job Description Outpatient Psychiatrist needed to work in a culturally diverse expanding community health center providing psycho-pharmacology services to individuals who struggle with addictions. The Addiction psychiatrist will be involved in direct patient care including psychiatric evaluations, consultations, and treatment planning through an integrated team approach. The psychiatrist will also participate in collaboration and consultation with primary care providers and other behavioral health clinicians outside of the complex addiction team. Responsibilities include: Conducting psychiatric evaluations and consultations. Developing and implementing treatment plans. Prescribing psychiatric medications and monitoring their effects. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Providing care to under-served multicultural populations. Minimum qualifications include experience with out-patient and after-care of mental health patients; specific knowledge of prescribing psychiatric medications and their possible side effects; knowledge of varied mental disorders and dual diagnosis experience; and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced multidisciplinary practice.
