Responsibilities: The Chief Risk Officer is responsible for the strategic direction and overall management of the risk management function. This includes Clinical and Enterprise Risk Management, Risk Finance (Commercial and Self Insured programs), Claims Management, and Risk Data activities. The candidate must possess an intimate knowledge of the healthcare industry, including business processes and a broad-based operational perspective. Additionally, the candidate must be an energetic, proactive, decisive, and detail-oriented leader who can work effectively in a matrix environment with all levels of team members and physicians. Required Certification & Licensure: CPHRM or ARM or CRM. Required Experience: 10 years in Healthcare Risk Management or as a Commercial Insurance Broker/Underwriter or in Medical Malpractice Litigation Management. Preferred Experience is 15 years in the same fields. Required Specific Skills: Knowledge of health system operational environment. Preferred Certification & Licensure: FL Nursing license, FL Insurance License, or FL Adjuster License.
